Peasy Mail

Prerequisites

The following are required to run the Mail Server.

 

A computer running Windows or Linux with access to the World Wide Web (WWW). Refer to section configuring a DSL router.

A Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN). This is the name of your web site, such as sartronics.com. This is then used for the emails accounts like support@sartronics.com.

A MX zone record to direct the email to your mail server. A typical MX record would be mail.sartronics.com. The A zone record for the subdomain "mail" would be the IP address of your mail server. Refer to the section Setting MX record 

FQDN authorisation certificate in .PEM format. This is not strictly required but is advised to have. It enables other to be certain that they are connecting and delivering mail to the correct identity on the web and not an impostor. Without one, the Mail Server will self generate one. However other applications connecting to the Mail Server may generate warnings. Refer to section "How to get get a certificate and private key".
