Peasy Mail

IPad Mail Client

Once the Peasy Mail Server is running it is possible to use different mail clients to access the mail accounts. Any mail client that supports IMAP and SMTP such as IPad and Android will work.

Creating an account

On the Ipad / iphone open "Settings" by pressing  and find "Accounts and Passwords" and press . Choose "Add Account" and select "Other". Select "Add Mail Account", this will start a wizard that will prompt to create an account with some default settings.

Enter the display "Name" of the account, the "Email", the "Password" and a "Description" for the account. When prompted choose IMAP as the mail client protocol to use.

Check that the "Incoming Mail Server" is set with the "Host Name" to the web site Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN), this is the part of the email name after the @ symbol. Set the "User Name" to the part of the email name before the @ symbol.

Check that the "Outgoing Mail Server" is set with "SMTP" to the web site Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN), this is the part of the email name after the @ symbol.

Under the "Advance" setting turn "Use SSL" on. This will use the default Server Port number 993. Check that the Mail Server has the SSL IMAP enabled.

Also confirm that IPad advance settings has "Authentication" set to password.
